I swear I'm going to get around to fixing that image soon.
I've been busy in the "not really busy, but have better things to do than write about what I'm actually doing" way. You know how it is.
I've been knitting my brains out and learning a lot about it. Frustrating at times, yes, but still fun to wear a Slytherin striped London Beanie that I MADE! Yeah. So far I've made a huge Slytherin scarf, a huge Gryffindor scarf, that London Beanie, arm warmers, fingerless gloves, a kitty ear hat, and I've got a Hufflepuff and rugby style SMU scarf on the needles. Go me.
In other news, my mouth is bleeding. What? Not badly, though. One of my wisdom teeth has been slowly coming in for about a year now, and a second one has just started. Just broke my skin... er, gums? today and it hurts enough to distract me from reading my slash. Stupid teething.
I have 9 more days of work before I'm done. I have to start packing soon, too, but I don't want to.
I've got a couch, table, two chairs, computer desk, computer chair, TV, TV Stand, Microwave, bed, and PS2 (DVD Player) for the apartment. And that's just the big stuff. I still need a mattress.
Now I'm kind of hungry so I'm going to go heat up my tea in the teachers' lounge and eat my cookie. Yeah, I'm just going to go... do that.

Hrm, the image is gone. Oh well, I'm at work so I can't very well do anything about it.
Yes, I said that I'm at work. And oh, what a sweet job it is. I sit here at the computer, check livejournal communities, watch episodes of Lost and Stargate, and knit all day long. And I get paid for it. Fulltime, honest-to-goodness, direct deposit paid for it. Take that, evil SuperStore bakery! It's only not so sweet when the little children come in for Cybercamp and I have to keep them occupied. Sometimes for 7 hours (full day cybercamp - who would do that to a kid?).
Anyway, I have learned to knit. Yes, indeed, I have. I have also finished my first HP PoA Slytherin scarf. I am about to start a new scarf for someone else and my first attempt at fingerless gloves with DPNs. *horror-stricken face*

Things that have happened since last we spoke, oh journal mine:
Yep, that's about it.
This summer hasn't been nearly as boring as last summer. Which is weird because I actually haven't done much yet. Haven't seen a single friend in two months. Kind of sad, now that I think about it. Oh well.

I have a new notebook (its name is Greg), though, so I'm excited about that. It even has wireless so I'm able to be writing this in the comfort of my room rather than in the kitchen. Hoorah! Also, my sister's boyfriend, Jon, has brought his kitten for a sleep-over. Two of my cats hate him and one is insanely interested in him. Well, he's technically sleeping over, but really he's getting fixed tomorrow and the Hampton vet is cheaper than in town. His name is Captain Jack and he's adorable. All orange and everything. Someday, I'm going to get an orange kitty and name him Horatio. Someday. Yep... so that's all that's interesting in my life. Pretty sad, nay? Except that I've just discovered the show House, MD and have fallen in love with Gregory House. House/Wilson is my new OTP. Not to say that I love Snapledore, Snarry, or Jack/Daniel any less, they're just not as important to me right now.
It's been a while and I am yet unemployed. I had one interview for the local tourist bureau but that didn't go so well. I talked to Connie, the Access Centre person, last week about getting on with them and I have an interview next week, so I'm hopeful about that. Connie and I were like this: *cross fingers* back in the day. Okay not really, I was 14 and annoying, but still.

Well, I'm home once again. I've found that since graduating high school, I write in here less and less. Not that I don't routinely forget about this journal anyway...
So, I moved back yesterday and did zero unpacking. And while I was laying around watching people watch TV and being bored, my stupid friends in stupid Halifax were out having fun until 7 in the morning. Not that I'm bitter and jealous or anything.
I don't have internet access in my bedroom so my laptop (Herbert) is currently taking up space on the dining room table with a huge yellow ethernet cord running to the router. Because I don't have wireless, either. Fun, fun. I just watched Stay with Ewan McGregor which was cool because it was Ewan, but not so cool because of the many walruses. That's right, walruses. Tomorrow I just plan on sleeping and reading some more. Maybe I'll unpack one box, but just one.
I also don't know if I'll be working this summer. I mean, I need to work to be paying something on my loans, but working part-time at a grocery store doesn't pay enough to be worth it. I've applied for government full-time summer positions, but no word yet. If I don't get one of these, I don't think I will be working unless something amazing happens. I hated my last summer job so much and only made $2000, all of which was gone into loans, food, and other crap by the end of the summer. Plus, it'd be nice to work in my own town instead of having to bum a ride all the time.
Exams went fine this semester. Mostly because I only had two. Well, I had two in class and two in the exam period. I only took four classes this semester because I could (AP English High School credits). I've gotten most of my marks back, and they're all some variation of A, so that's just lovely. Boosts the old crazy, SMU QGPA. Right. Anyway, I'm going to read a little more before I go to bed since I couldn't concentrate on it all day. It's much louder here than it ever was in residence. People stomp around, yell, and watch TV at an outrageous volume.

Well, it's been a while... again. I updated last time at exam time, and so it is once more. I've only one exam left (on Monday) and then I am going home. I really don't want the year to end. Going back to boring old Hampton and working? Ugh. Next September, though, I won't have to come back to residence! We (that is, my friends and I) have signed a lease for an apartment next year. Sweet, yes?
Well, that's in the future, and right now I am hungry, tired, and pained. Once again, my Depo has failed me and I had to go begging around the floor for pads. It's a sad, sad night. For the long, dark summer up ahead, I have created a book list filled with those 19th centure classics I've always meant to get around to, and have even bought many of them already. Hopefully, I won't go completely mad with boredom.

Holy Lack of Entries, Batman!
That's right, I've been a lazy, lazy ass and nobody (including myself) cares. Well, I got what I complained for for four months: I'm back in school and blissfully unemployed. This time around, I like most of my suitemates. Mostly because I already knew them and we planned it like that. The two girls in the double room are polar opposites and I dislike them both. This morning, I've been woken up by Elicia and her friends screaming about the time one of them ended up in the emergency room because they had too much alcohol mixed with too much ectasy. And then they went on to complain about another friend of theirs who always wants attention because she, and I quote, "rubs her nose too much after we do coke." For Merlin's sake, they're barely eighteen! Do they really have nothing better to do (like, I don't know, study) that they think this is acceptable behaviour? Nevermind waking me up at the godforsaken hour of 11 in the morning!
But I'm clearly just bitter about being conscious right now.
The past few months have been filled with lots of reading, lots of essay-writing, lots of drinking, and lots of Cranium. That's right, when we want to de-stress here at Chateau Boom-Boom Bang-Bang, we play Drunken Cranium. Which is so much more fun than regular Cranium. Oh my, yes we are risque, aren't we?
I'm really looking forward to going home this weekend and spending two weeks away from the craziness that is residence. I love it and all, but I need a break. Also, I mean, it's Christmas, of course I'm excited for that. All the lights and decorations, and getting drunk with family, that's what it's all about.
I've written two in-class exams so far, written one take-home, and I have to write another take-home this evening so I can study for my only honest-to-god exam on Friday. I'm pretty much the last of the last to leave, too. I have to wait until Saturday because the train leaves too early on Friday. Every semester I seem to be the unlucky one who has the late exams.
Yes, well, that's all I have to say right now. I'm going to go drag myself all the way to the library because that's the only place Tim Horton's is open on campus this week, drink my huge-ass tea, and maybe write one of my exam essays. Then back to sleep!
